Most of the patients of new variants of Corona in the metropolis, Omicron and Delta, are found with mild symptoms. Therefore, the number of people admitted to the hospital is very less. There are 6 lakh 63 thousand people in home quarantine in Mumbai. Which is monitored by the Ward War Room of BMC and the doctors are giving advice from time to time. But many people are violating the home quarantine rules. After receiving the complaint, BMC has now become strict against the people living in home quarantine, as there is a risk of spreading corona infection more rapidly.
BMC additional commissioner Suresh Kakani said that on receipt of complaints of those breaking the rules of home quarantine, the patient and the people who came in contact with him will be immediately sent to the quarantine center in BMC. Also, BMC will stamp stamps on the hands of such people. BMC has enough beds to keep such people in the Quarantine Center.
Let us inform that the third wave of corona has started in Mumbai from December 21. The number of corona patients has crossed 20 thousand in a day. Due to which the number of active patients in Mumbai has reached 1 lakh 228. In this, 84 percent patients have mild symptoms. Most of the people who are getting treatment by staying at home and getting the test done on the fifth day are coming negative.
Right of action to the field officer
Kakani said that the field officer in each ward has been given the right to take action against the violators. Also, the responsibility of keeping an eye on whether the quarantine rules are being followed has been entrusted to the office bearers of the society. Earlier in both the waves of Corona, these rules were applicable in Mumbai. During the second wave, the health officer had filed a case against many people for violating the home quarantine rule.
46,723 new cases of corona in Maharashtra
On Wednesday, 46,723 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Maharashtra, which is 12,299 more than the cases a day earlier. The Health Department said that 32 more patients have also died due to the epidemic. The bulletin said that among the new cases of infection, there are 86 cases of Omicron.
After stopping the pace for four consecutive days, the graph of Corona has increased again in Mumbai. During the last 24 hours, 16,420 new patients of corona virus have been confirmed here. This figure is about 41 percent more than the cases reported a day earlier. At the same time, seven more infected people died. On the other hand, there has been a sharp jump in corona cases in Delhi as well. 27561 new cases have been reported here. At the same time 40 patients have lost their lives.
