KP Dangi, Public Relations Officer of Guna district in Madhya Pradesh died in a road accident on Monday. He was returning after attending a wedding ceremony in Bhopal when his car hit a divider near Binaganj and overturned. He died on the spot. At least seven people died and five were injured in different parts of the state in the last 24 hours.
Apart from Guna, the accidents took place in Shajapur, Ratlam and Bhopal districts. Guna District Public Relations Officer KP Dangi’s car overturned after hitting a divider near Pakhriyapura toll naka in Binaganj in the district at around 8 am on Monday. He died in the accident. Binaganj police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Dangi was pulled out of the vehicle and taken to Biaora in nearby Rajgarh district, where doctors declared him brought dead. At the time of the accident, Dangi himself was returning to Guna after attending a wedding ceremony in Bhopal while driving the car.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has condoled the death of Dangi. Chouhan tweeted that Guna’s District Public Relations Officer K.P. Sad to hear about the death of Dangi ji in a road accident. He was a conscientious, friendly and soft spoken officer. Praying to God to give peace to the departed soul and give him a place at his feet. My condolences to the bereaved family.
A car parked near Palwal Dhaba between Maksi and Shajapur on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway, about 15 km from Shajapur district headquarters, was hit by a container truck at around 8 pm on Sunday. Two people in the car, Rajiv Singh (32) and Shivjit Singh Yadav, died on the spot. Three people were also injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to Shajapur district hospital for treatment. The car was going from Ashok Nagar to Ujjain and was parked on the side of the road for puncture at the time of the accident. After the accident, the container driver left the vehicle and fled. A case has been registered in this regard at Maksi police station.
In another incident, a car and motorcycle collided near Banjali airstrip in Ratlam late on Sunday night. In this, two youths, Naharu (25) and Kuldeep (22), were killed on the motorcycle. His companion was seriously injured, who has been sent to Indore for treatment. After the accident, the driver of the car fled leaving his vehicle at the spot. The police have confiscated the car.
In an accident in Bhopal, near Hamidia Hospital, around 10 pm on Sunday night, a trolley hit a truck and entered a room. Two laborers living in the room died and another was seriously injured. A case has been registered with the Kohefiza police in this regard.
