It rained 1.5 inches in Ujjain, while more than half an inch of rain fell in Satna, Sidhi, Bhopal and Seoni. Ratlam, Gwalior, Mandla, Naugaon, Pachmarhi, Betul, Malanjkhand, Umaria, Khajuraho, Damoh, Guna, Rajgarh and Narmadapuram also received light and heavy rain at some places. Due to heavy rains in the western part of Madhya Pradesh in the last three days, the normal rainfall figures have increased. However, the overall rainfall figure is still 17% less. The state has received 28.16 inches of rain so far. Whereas there should have been 33.38 inches of rain. The eastern part has recorded 11% less rainfall than the average and the western part has recorded 19% less rainfall than the average. Earlier, the below average rainfall in the western part had reached 23%.
Senior meteorologist HS Pandey said that the cyclonic circulation system is active around Chhattisgarh and Odisha, which is also affecting Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, heavy rains will continue in the state on Saturday also. Moderate to heavy rain may occur in many districts. Dr. Singh said that around September 10 to 12, another system will be active from the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, light to moderate rain will continue in the entire state. There will be rain activity in the state from 18th to 20th September.
