Lateri’s SDM Harshal Chowdhary told that at around 11 am on Tuesday morning, one year old Lokesh Ahirwar fell into the borewell while playing. As soon as the information was received, the staff of the administration reached the spot. Rescue operation has been started with the help of camera. Efforts are being made to get the child out safely by digging from JCB.
Collector reached the spot, rescue operation continues
As soon as 7-year-old Lokesh Ahirwar fell into a borewell in Kherkhedi Pathar village of Lateri tehsil of Vidisha, collector Umashankar Bhargava rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. 15 members of NDRF and 17 members of SDRF team are engaged in rescue work.
Innocent child fell in 60 feet deep borewell
Giving information, Collector Umashankar Bhargava said that information was received in the morning that a 7-year-old child had fallen while playing in a borewell built in the field. After reaching the spot, monitoring is being done with night vision camera. The child is trapped in about 45 feet. Rescue work is on. A pit is being dug on the other side from JCB. Along with this, oxygen supply has also been started since morning.
