For example, currently there are 543 Lok Sabha seats in the Lok Sabha. If the 33 percent women reservation bill is implemented, the number of women MPs will increase to 179. Similarly, the number of MLAs in Madhya Pradesh Assembly is 230. If the Women’s Reservation Bill is implemented, the number of women MLAs will reach 73.
