-Leaving Italy and joining the project of building India-West Asia-Europe Corridor
New Delhi (EMS). In the G-20 summit, Modi and Biden together cornered China in such a way that its every move failed. Jin Ping’s condition worsened when Italy announced its withdrawal from China’s ambitious project BRI. China has so far spent billions of dollars on this project. Not only this, China started feeling even more breathless when it came to know that Italy had left it and gone with India. Let us tell you that Italy is also included in the announcement of making India-West Asia-Europe Corridor.
China has also become upset due to the announcement of this corridor. He doesn’t understand what to do if he finally comes. Instead of coming to the G20 summit in person, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent his Prime Minister Li Keqiang. Since Li Qing is new in facing global issues, he is unable to do anything. But he met the Italian Prime Minister on the sidelines of G20 and tried to convince her. On one hand, as soon as the Chinese Prime Minister met the Italian Prime Minister, India also did not waste the opportunity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met the Italian Prime Minister and discussed issues related to the common interests of the two countries. On the other hand, at the time of the announcement of the India-West Asia and Europe Corridor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned China through gestures that it should respect the integrity and sovereignty of other countries while working on such projects. Not only this, increasing China’s problems, US President Joe Biden has said that Xi Jinping’s absence did not make any difference and the summit is going well. As far as the meeting between the Chinese and Italian Prime Ministers is concerned, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met his Italian counterpart Georgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit on Saturday and discussed bilateral relations.
The two met amid Italy’s plan to withdraw from China’s ambitious project Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Italy believes that the project has not brought the expected results. Meloni, during his meeting with Li, who replaced Chinese President Xi Jinping at the G20 summit in New Delhi, promised to provide a fair, equitable and non-discriminatory business environment for investment and trade in his country. The Le-Meloni meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit was significant because the Italian government has openly expressed its desire to withdraw from the BRI. Because China has not benefited from its billion dollar infrastructure project.
