Maharashtra Corona News: Corona and Omicron cases increased in Maharashtra including Mumbai, new restrictions came into force

Along with corona, cases of Omicron variant are also increasing in Maharashtra and Mumbai. On Friday, 1,410 new corona patients have been found in the state, out of which 683 patients are from Mumbai. After 176 days, so many corona patients have been found in Mumbai. Apart from this, Omicron has been confirmed in 20 more people in the state. Of these, 11 i.e. more than 50 percent have been found in Mumbai. More than 100 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country in two days. The Center warned on Friday that the world is witnessing a fourth wave of the virus. There have been 9.64 lakh cases in the world in 24 hours. The cases of the new variant have gone up to 1.52 lakh in 108 countries. Be careful.

Of the 20 Omicron patients in the state, 11 were found during surveillance at the Mumbai International Airport. 6 patients were found in Pune, 2 in Satara and 1 in Ahmednagar. Out of these 20 patients, 4 have been found in high risk contacts. Of these, 15 have a travel history abroad and 12 have taken both doses of the vaccine. Seven patients have not taken a single dose. It is a matter of relief that not all patients have any symptoms of corona.

Omicron’s first patient became home quarantine
Omicron virus has knocked in Mira-Bhayander. Omicron’s first case was confirmed by Chief Legal Officer Prakash Jadhav. The patient’s condition is stable and he is in home quarantine. Jadhav told that Malma is 2 weeks old. The test report has been confirmed via email. Municipality and state government are coordinating. All the people who came in contact with the patient have been screened.
