Bhopal (Hindustan Times). It is scorching heat in most of the districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heat wave in many districts on Sunday. At the same time, due to the current weather system, there may be light rain or drizzle in many districts of the state, which will give relief from the heat for some time.

There may be light rain in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday amidst the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in Betul, Anuppur, Seoni, Chhindwara, Khandwa and Burhanpur districts in the morning. There is also a possibility of lightning accompanied by thunder and lightning. It will be hot in other parts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur-Gwalior.

Hot winds are also forecast in Gwalior, Ratlam, Guna, Chhatarpur, Sagar and Tikamgarh. Due to the local system being active, there may be drizzle in some areas. Earlier on Saturday, the local system was active in Ujjain, Neemuch and Mandsaur, due to which there was drizzle.

Light rains will start in the state from May 22. According to the Meteorological Department, on May 22 and 23, the weather will be changeable in Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopurkalan, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa Satna, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh. There will be light rain in Bhopal as well. At the same time, in the capital Bhopal on Sunday, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of intense heat. From May 22, the weather will change and it will be cloudy. Light rain may occur on May 23, while it will be cloudy on May 24 as well.

Heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Indore on Saturday

It rained heavily in Indore on Saturday evening after strong sunshine throughout the day. More than one and a half inches of rain is reported in 24 hours. During this time there was a lot of lightning. Trees were uprooted in many places and electricity was also cut off. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of a sudden change in the weather on Sunday evening as well.

Rain again due to the activation of the new system

Meteorologist HS Pandey told that another system is becoming active from May 22-23, which can remain active till May 27-28. Due to this, there will be light rain and cloudy weather. It is estimated that it will rain in the beginning of Nautapa as well.
