Govind says that as a teacher, I pray to God that Guneet wins more awards and inspires more and more young filmmakers to make meaningful documentaries. His Oscar winning film is an example that animals and humans can live harmoniously in their natural habitats. Govind says that apart from Guneet, there are many other students of this institute who are doing good work in the film industry.
This documentary is an eye opener for biologists
Lucknow-based zoologist Dnyaneshwar Shukla says that The Elephant Whispers is a very informative documentary. It is unfortunate that our universities are producing hundreds of graduates, post graduates and doctorates in biology, but not a single biologist has done anything like this. Our country is very rich in biodiversity and there has been a tradition of living with animals and worshiping them.
