Jaipur . On Saturday, BJP released the second list of 83 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections. Shortly after this, Congress released the list of 33 candidates. Vasundhara Raje will contest elections from Jhalrapatan, while the seat of Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod has changed. He has been given ticket from Taranagar instead of Churu. He has already contested elections from Taranagar.
Sachin Pilot got ticket from Tonk
BJP has given ticket to former Udaipur royal family member Vishvaraj Singh Mewar from Nathdwara. He had joined BJP only a few days ago. Congress has fielded current assembly speaker CP Joshi from Nathdwara. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has got ticket from Sardarpura and Sachin Pilot has got ticket from Tonk. Pilot is currently an MLA from Tonk.
Know how many days the election process will last
On October 9, the Election Commission announced the dates of assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. The election process in these states will last for 27 days. Voting will be held first in Mizoram on 7 November. After this, voting will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November.
Voting will be held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on November 7 and November 17. Then votes will be cast in Rajasthan on 25th November and Telangana on 30th November. Results will come simultaneously in all 5 states on 3rd December. BJP is currently in power in Madhya Pradesh, while Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. While KCR’s party BRS is in power in Telangana, Mizo National Front is in power in Mizoram.
