Shivkumar Sharma has shared the outline of the movement while discussing with the media on Monday. Kakka ji said that the export of cotton has been banned, due to which the farmers are getting fair price. There should be an immediate ban on the collection of outstanding electricity bills of the farmers in an dishonest manner. Agricultural loans up to ₹ 200000 of all farmers should be freed from GST on agricultural machinery equipment and pesticides.
He has demanded that all the cases against the farmers in the farmer’s movement that took place earlier in the state should be withdrawn. Farmers are burdened by railways, so the government should free them from debt. Wheat, gram, onion, potato and cotton are being sold in mandis much below the support price, so the ban on their export should be removed immediately. The land acquisition law should be withdrawn. Electricity should be given for at least 12 hours for agricultural work.
At the same time, an honorarium of ₹ 4000 per month should be given to all the farmers and to the domestic working women above 50 years of age. 4 times compensation should be given on land acquisition. The farmers who have been doing farming for 60 to 70 years, the government is evicting the farmers who have been issued leases to them. If there is no dispute among them, then they should be settled. Mandi elections should be conducted in the state as soon as possible. The tax being charged on diesel should be abolished and farmers should be given ₹ 50 per liter. Action should be taken against the sellers of spurious fertilizers, seeds and pesticides. For this, special laws should be made in Madhya Pradesh.
Then the difficulties of the government were increased
On December 20, 2010, Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, was surrounded by 15 thousand farmers with their tractors. During this, farmers had blocked all the major roads from the Chief Minister’s residence to the city. This movement took place on the 85 demands of the farmers like electricity and water. At that time, Kakka ji took the front as the president of the Central Province unit of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, a subsidiary farmer organization of the RSS.
This movement also gave a new identity to Shiv Kumar Sharma alias Kakka ji. Later his stature kept decreasing, but now with the new announcement, the government has again become alert because it is an election year and the government does not want to take any kind of risk from the farmers.
