Mother Renu Jogi is contesting from Konta, son Amit Jogi is contesting from Patan and wife Richa is contesting from Akaltara assembly seat.
Raipur (EMS). Amit Jogi, son of former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh late Ajit Jogi, has put an end to all the speculations by filing nomination from Patan. With this, all the people of Jogi family have entered the election field to try their luck. Actually, Amit Jogi’s mother Renu Jogi is a candidate from the traditional seat Konta and his wife Richa Jogi is a candidate from Akaltara.
Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) leader Amit Jogi has filed nomination from the high profile seat of Chhattisgarh, Patan.
CM Bhupesh Baghel is the Congress candidate from Patan assembly constituency, while Durg MP Vijay Baghel is in the fray as the BJP candidate. The interesting thing is that Vijay Baghel is the nephew of CM Bhupesh Baghel. Taking a jibe at this, Amit Jogi says that for the first time in 23 years, elections are being held in Patan, because in the last elections there was love between uncle and nephew. On the other hand, Amit Jogi’s mother Renu Jogi is again contesting from her traditional seat Konta. Similarly, Amit Jogi’s wife Richa Jogi has once again contested the elections from Akaltara assembly seat. However, it remains to be seen how many members of the Jogi family reach the assembly.
