Jammu and Kashmir: Army personnel recovered 30Kg heroin, worth Rs 25 crore, from LOC

Indian Army personnel in Jammu and Kashmir have recovered two bags along the LoC in Uri sector. In which 25-30 kg heroin-like substance has been found in a package bearing Pakistani mark. Talking to the media, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Rais Mohammad Bhat said that on Saturday, Indian soldiers posted along the LoC in Uri sector in Baramulla district of North Kashmir noticed some suspicious movement. After searching the area, heroin was recovered from there. It is likely that these banned substances were dropped with the help of drones. At present, the search operation has been started in the entire area. According to the information, terrorists can do more suspicious activities in the area. There have been reports of smuggling of drugs across the border since the past few days. Speaking on this, the Senior Superintendent of Police said that the peddlers, who were trying to smuggle drugs into the Indian side of the Line of Control, fled after seeing the movement of soldiers. Several cases of smuggling of drugs through the border have come to the area in the past as well.
