    Jalabhishek of Shivling created ruckus, why did Mehbooba Mufti get upset with Muslim religious leaders?

    Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president and former CM Mehbooba Mufti has presented a clarification regarding visiting the Shiva temple. In fact, Mehbooba Mufti had visited the Navagraha temple in Poonch district on last Wednesday. During this, Mehbooba Mufti performed Jalabhishek on Shivling along with worshiping in the temple. After which Mehbooba Mufti was in the circle of questions. Giving clarification on this matter, Mehbooba said that if someone gave a pot of water in your hand with such devotion, would you be able to refuse it? You will not break her heart, no, I will not pour water. On the other hand, yesterday many Muslim religious leaders had called it an insult to Islam regarding Mehbooba. Mehbooba had said that no one should tell me my religion, I know it very well.

    Mehbooba Mufti spoke about visiting the temple

    Mehbooba Mufti has presented a clarification regarding worshiping in the Navagraha temple of Poonch. Mufti said, ‘This temple was built by Yashpal Sharma and his son wanted me to go inside the temple. After this someone gave me a pot full of water. So it would have been wrong to refuse, so I worshipped. Mufti said that if someone gives something in your hands for worship with such reverence, then how can you refuse someone? At the same time, Mehbooba said that our country is a secular country. The culture here is Ganga Jamuni.

    Mehbooba replied to Maulana

    Deoband Ulema Asad Qasmi termed it as an insult to Islam for performing Jalabhishek on the Shivling of Mehbooba Mufti. He said that whether Mehbooba Mufti or any Muslim… such work is not allowed in Islam. Along with this, Maulana also said that in a free country everyone is the master of his own will. But what Mufti did is against Islam and absolutely wrong. In response to which Mufti said that I know what is my religion?
