“Therefore, 10 industrial and 13 food processing clusters have to be set up in different parts of Punjab for entrepreneurship and skill development, which will be facilitated with relevant and necessary skill training institutes,” Sidhu said.
He said that Mohali would be the start-up and IT hub of Punjab. Sidhu said, “With the setting up of an Advanced Information Technology Center (IT Hub) and a startup city in Mohali, it is expected to become the ‘Millennium Tech-City’ and Mohali will become the Silicon Valley of North India.”
He said that Ludhiana will be a hub for electric vehicle manufacturing. Punjab has the potential to become a hub for electric vehicles and semiconductor industries. Amritsar will be made a medical and tourism hub and Jalandhar a cluster of medical equipment and sports goods.
