Indore. Indore’s much awaited metro train project took another step towards success and reached the metro station via the trial coach viaduct and ramp. The metro coach covered a distance of about 12 kilometers while coming and going and thus, for the first time, a dynamic test of Indore Metro was conducted. This dynamic test was conducted on a 5.9 km stretch of the trial run from Gandhi Nagar Station to Super Corridor Station No. 3.
Train operator Sagar Dand, who runs the semi-high speed metro train running at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour under the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) running on the Delhi to Meerut route, took the metro coach to the ramp and viaduct for the first time in Indore and Now Sagar Dand will remain in the role of driver of the metro coach till the trial run. After that Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited Company will appoint its train operator. As soon as the coach reached the platform on Wednesday, the metro engineers and workers constructing the station welcomed them with applause. The metro coach was run on a 5.9 km stretch of the trial run from Gandhi Nagar station to Super Corridor station number 3. When the coach reached each platform, its gate marking and distance from the platform were assessed.
Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. According to Shobhit Tandon, Director System, for the first time on Wednesday, the metro coach reached the metro station via viaduct and ramp. The metro coach covered a distance of about 12 kilometers on its way back and forth. Now about three to four more times testing will be done by bringing the coach from the depot to the station. Under the dynamic test, fitness of metro coach and track fitness was also tested. Moving at a speed of 8 to 9 kilometers per hour, the metro coach reached Gandhi Nagar station in 6 minutes. While running the metro on the ramp and viaduct, there was a team of about 15 people including engineers, technicians and track staff of the coach manufacturing company in the coach.
