Breathing becomes difficult in Delhi every year after Diwali, if you have any kind of respiratory disease then you should try to stay in your home for the next 2-3 days. Delhi’s air quality monitoring organization SAFAR has released a report, according to which the level of PM 2.5 in Delhi’s air can rise to 298 micrograms per cubic meter on the day of Diwali, while on the next day of Diwali it will rise to 377 micrograms. per cubic meter can reach. Let us tell you that the air in which the level of PM 2.5 is up to 60 micrograms per cubic meter is breathable, after that the toxic elements increase in it.
Dr Gufran Baig, director of Project Safar, Ministry of Earth Science, said that on November 4 and 5, the amount of pollution in the air of Delhi will be very high. He said that due to stubble burning in the neighboring states in Delhi and NCR, the pollution could increase by more than 20 percent on the day of Diwali. After this, till November 5 and 6, the level of pollution caused by stubble in Delhi may increase by 40 percent, the main reason behind this is being told the winds coming from the northwest. These winds will bring the stubble smoke to Delhi.

According to the SAFAR report, the wind speed will be slow in Delhi for the next three days. Firecrackers should be lit in Delhi or not, but the level of PM 2.5 in the air has to increase. According to the report, the level of pollution in Delhi’s air will remain at its highest level today and tomorrow, which is very harmful for the people. Delhi’s air will improve slightly from 6th November onwards.

According to the SAFAR report, the pollution levels will be highest during the day from 1 am to 6 am on Diwali night and on November 5. The level of pollution will increase significantly due to stubble, which you need to avoid. The first reason for increasing pollution in the air of Delhi and NCR is the direction of the wind, the second reason for pollution is the slowing of the wind speed. Because of this, the major elements of pollution inside the air, PM 2.5 PM 10, remain present for a long time, which cause harm. The third major cause of pollution is the burning of firecrackers, in 2019, the level of pollution in Delhi’s air due to firecrackers increased by more than 50 percent.
