Since the first wave of corona virus till now, Maharashtra has been among the states in which the maximum number of Covid cases have been found. During the second wave of Corona, the situation in Maharashtra almost became uncontrollable. Now once again Corona is spreading in the state. Apart from Covid, the danger of new variants Omicron is also increasing in the state. Now there are reports that soon the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) may implement strict guidelines in Mumbai.
According to media reports, BMC may issue new guidelines by this afternoon, which may include night curfew in the state, limiting the number of guests at weddings and on the capacity of restaurants. The government has already geared up before the situation worsens as before. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray interacts with the members of the State COVID-19 Task Force. He said they discussed ways to avoid crowds in hotels and restaurants during Christmas and New Year celebrations, at weddings and parties.

BMC can issue guidelines regarding these things
- Restaurants are likely to remain open with 50 per cent capacity.
- People may be allowed to hold indoor functions with 25 per cent capacity and outdoor celebrations with 50 per cent capacity.
- A maximum of five people could be allowed to gather at one place at night.
- Weddings can hold up to 100 guests.
Guidelines issued in Uttar Pradesh also
It is worth noting that recently Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also announced curfew in the state. The government has decided to impose night curfew in the state from December 25, the day of Christmas. There will be night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am till further orders. The government has also limited the number to attend weddings. Yogi Adityanath government has said that more than 200 people are allowed in weddings till further notice will not be given.
