G20 is currently being organized in the country’s capital Delhi and it has been raining heavily in many areas of Delhi-NCR since Saturday night. Heavy rain continued here even on Sunday morning. Strong winds along with rain have made the weather pleasant. IMD has predicted that light to moderate rain with strong thunderstorms will continue in Delhi and surrounding areas on Sunday. Rain has started once again in the country for the last 2-3 days. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, there will be rain in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat today. Whereas in Maharashtra and Northeast India, the rains that started from September 9 are expected to continue with the same intensity till September 12.
Chances of rain in Northeast India till September 12
According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department (IMD), today i.e. on September 10, there are chances of moderate to heavy rain in Konkan, Goa and Maharashtra. Talking about the weather condition in the North-East states, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder, lightning in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till September 12. Whereas in Arunachal Pradesh, the weather is going to be pleasant due to rain today and tomorrow (i.e. on 10th and 11th September). In its update, IMD said that there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall in isolated parts of Assam and Meghalaya on September 12.
Alert issued in 18 districts of Bihar
Ever since the weather patterns have changed, the people of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, who are suffering from the heat, have got relief. It has been raining in different areas of these states since Saturday. Apart from this, alert regarding rain has also been issued in 18 districts of Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department, parts of Bihar like West Champaran, East Champaran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Saran, Patna, Buxar, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Saharsa, Madhepura, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and Vaishali. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorm in the districts. An alert has also been issued for the hilly state of Uttarakhand for the next 4 days.
