Indian Army never stops, never gets tired, always keeps on moving forward. The eyes of the brave are definitely filled with the supreme sacrifice of the comrades, but the steps never stop without achieving the goal. However, on 8 December, the country lost its brave son CDS Bipin Rawat in the Coonoor helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu. But, Saturday was such a day, when the country got 319 new ‘bipins’. With the same zeal and enthusiasm with the resolve to establish India as a mighty nation on the global stage.
When 319 cadets marched to the drill square to dance to the song ‘Bharat mata teri kasam tere rakshak banenge hum’ from the IMA, everyone was in high spirits. Proud chest and footsteps were enough to make the enemies tremble. These 319 youths became part of the Indian Army as soon as the passing out parade at IMA was completed. Along with them 68 foreign cadets also passed out in the batch. President Ram Nath Kovind took the salute of the parade of these young officers.
‘Young General Rawat’ at the passing out parade
President Ram Nath Kovind remembered General Bipin Rawat on the occasion of the passing out parade. He said that brave soldiers like General Bipin Rawat became officers after taking training from here. Our flag will always be held high because youths like General Rawat will defend his honor. The President also took pride in the passing out parade of foreign cadets from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Turkmenistan, Tanzania and Tajikistan.
Take inspiration from young cadets General Rawat
Addressing the young officers coming out of the passing out parade, President Ram Nath Kovind said that your training prepares you for every challenge. He asked General Rawat to take inspiration from the cadets. Describing General Rawat as an extraordinary military leader, President Kovind said the loss caused by his death cannot be filled. Had this incident not happened, General Rawat would have been here with us in the passing out today. General Rawat did his graduation from IMA, Dehradun. He was awarded the Sword of Honour.
Anmol Gurung got gold medal
The President honored the cadets on the basis of their overall best performance and performance. Anmol Gurung was awarded the Sword of Honor and Gold Medal at the event. At the same time, Tushar Sapra got silver medal and Ayush Ranjan got bronze medal. Kunal Chaubisa won the silver medal. Sangay Phenden Dorji of Bhutan was adjudged the best foreign cadet. The Chief of Army Staff banner was received by the Karen Company. Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmeet Singh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Deputy Commandant Major General Alok Joshi and many army officers were present in the program.
