Abhay Singh Rathore, Lucknow: Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the Yogi government of the state fiercely, he said that the false claims of BJP government being poor and farmer friendly has been exposed. Before the elections, big announcements were made to double the income of the farmers, to respect them and not to allow the stoves of the poor to cool down. At the same time, Akhilesh tweeted and asked that ‘Ata Mafia’ is being illegally occupied on the plate of the general public, is the bulldozer ready?

The SP chief also took out a lot of anger on the state government regarding the purchase of wheat. He said that this time BJP has given priority to the benefit of industrialists over the interests of farmers in wheat procurement. Instead of government procurement of wheat, wheat was sold to 5 big companies. In Uttar Pradesh, the target of wheat procurement was 60 lakh metric tonnes whereas only 2.35 lakh metric tonnes of wheat was procured. Apart from less procurement at the procurement center, there is also news of less wheat production. As a result, flour will be more expensive in the market. This will increase the profits of big industrialists and their companies.

On the other hand, Akhilesh also took a jibe at the tweet saying that instead of government purchase of wheat, is the intention of the BJP government behind selling wheat to the industrialists so that the grain does not reach the poor. The same Akhilesh asked when the government would get the money of ‘wheat purchase rigged’ beaten. Questions raised on the intention of the government
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav did not stop there, questioning the intention of the government and said that it has been decided to cancel the wheat quota in the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKY), rice will be distributed to the poor instead of wheat from June. Till now, 3 kg wheat and 2 kg rice were being distributed.

BJP has been anti-farmer since birth- Akhilesh
Akhilesh said in his statement that the intention of the BJP was never, nor is it, to benefit the farmers. If he wanted to give remunerative price for wheat, then the Minimum Support Price (MSP) should have been at least Rs 2500 per quintal. Farmers continued to be harassed at government purchase centers. The bread of common people is being illegally occupied by the flour mafia. BJP is trying to eradicate the poor, neither farmers nor poor consumers are in the economic agenda of BJP. The BJP has been anti-farmer since its birth.
