    Hooliganism on Holi in Bihar, may have to go to jail, special focus on liquor smugglers

    Patna: Holi (Holi 2023) is being celebrated today in entire Bihar including the capital Patna. Different enthusiasm is being seen among the people regarding Holi, the festival of colours. However, the police have also made their preparations regarding Holi. The police have clearly said that if anyone tries to create a ruckus on the day of Holi, he may have to go to jail. The police administration has made full preparations to maintain peace.

    Deployment of so many police officers and jawans

    A Bihar Police official said that elaborate security arrangements have been made regarding Holi. Around 4,000 jawans have been deployed along with magistrates, police officers at more than 500 places. BMPs and senior magistrates have been deployed for monitoring in sensitive areas. Here, instructions have also been given to take strict action against the person trying to spread the rumor and to refute it immediately.

    If anything goes wrong, action will be taken immediately.

    The official said that the activities of the public places are being monitored through CCTV. Immediate action will be taken on receipt of any kind of discrepancy. On the other hand, in view of Holi, all government hospitals in the city have been asked to remain alert. In PMCH, IGIMS, NMCH, Patna AIIMS, all medical facilities will be maintained in emergency. Beds are also reserved.

    There is a plan for action against liquor smugglers as well

    Liquor is banned in Bihar, so special preparations have been made for this on the occasion of Holi. The Liquor Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department will run a special 24-hour campaign. Officials of the excise department will keep an eye on those doing liquor business from 7 pm on Tuesday till Wednesday night. From employees to officers will remain on the streets. Special vigilance will be taken in Diara areas.
