    Health department alert due to entry of H3N2 virus in Bihar, 30 bed ward ready in Patna AIIMS

    H3N2 cases are on the rise across the country. The central government has issued an alert to all the states. Here in Bihar also the entry of H3N2 influenza virus has taken place. Recently, a woman has been found H3N2 positive in Patna. After this, a ward of 30 beds has been prepared in Patna AIIMS.

    A ward is ready in Patna AIIMS for H3N2 influenza virus
    Patna: The cases of new flu H3N2 are being seen increasing in the country for the last 8 weeks. H3N2 influenza virus has also knocked in Bihar. 21 samples have been tested at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Research Institute (RMRI) located in Agamkuan, Patna. The report of one of these women has come positive. Dr. Krishna Pandey, director of RMRI has given this information. Krishna Pandey said that the samples that came in the OPD this month were examined. In this, 1 sample has been found positive. He told that 30 to 40 percent patients in OPD are coming suffering from cold, cough, fever, vomiting, body pain and sore throat.

    30 bed ward ready for H3N2 patients in Patna AIIMS

    Here senior doctors had a meeting with the director of Patna AIIMS regarding H3N2. After this, a ward of 30 beds has also been prepared in AIIMS, Patna. AIIMS director Gopal Krishna Pal gave this information. In a conversation with NBT, Gopal Krishna Pal said that so far no patient in Patna AIIMS has been detected with this influenza.

    Wear mask and keep hands clean: Doctor

    The director of AIIMS said that the AIIMS administration is prepared for the new influenza. New PPE kits have been kept ready. Along with this, the ward is also ready. As soon as patients are found, the ward will be activated. Dr. Pal said that there is no need to panic with H3N2 influenza. See a doctor if you have any symptoms. Wear a mask and pay attention to keeping your hands clean.
