According to information, a 68-year-old woman from Sakchi was admitted to TMH on Thursday after suffering from cold-cough and fever. Later his sample was sent to MGM. While a child was admitted to Rani Hospital in Ranchi after complaining of pneumonia. Based on the symptoms, the child was tested in a private lab, which confirmed H3N2.
Testing facility at RIMS and MGM
The state has H3N2 testing facilities at RIMS and Jamshedpur in Jamshedpur. On March 12, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Arun Kumar Singh had nominated both the labs and directed them to send the samples to the Deputy Commissioners. Along with this, the hospitals have been instructed that they can collect samples and send them to both the labs.
