Till now the unit in the meter was not even 750, the corporation has collected the bill up to 1012 units

Gurugram. In the name of bills by the electricity department, the pockets of the consumers are being robbed. Bills are being sent randomly. In a consumer’s meter, even 750 units have not yet been sent, while the bill has been deposited by sending up to 1012 units. Regularly, this consumer’s bill for two months is coming less than Rs 1000, so far his bill has been sent twice about Rs 3000. The consumer is complaining about this till the Power Minister, so that strict action is taken against the negligent officers and employees.
The meter of Anjana Bansal’s flat number-203 was installed in July 2020 in Tower-19 of AVL36A Society, Sector-36 under Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVN) Manesar sub-division. Whose account number is G31-SH-01-4593. The electricity meter of the consumer started with one unit from 24th July 2020. Between July 24 and October 1, 2020, a bill of 80 units was sent for Rs 964. Till the first four bills, the units kept giving fine, but the fifth bill (between April 1, 2021 to June 1, 2021) was sent by showing 659 units of consumption and Rs 2897. In this bill, 940 units (reading) have been shown from the old 281 units. The consumer’s flat remained closed during this time interval. Yet such a huge bill was sent. It is worth noting that from April to June 2021, 940 units of consumption were shown, whereas even after four months, only 719 units have been consumed in the meter till 23 October 2021.
Functioning of meter reader in question
Between June 1, 2021 and August 1, 2021, the unit increased from 940 to 1012 in the bill. Now the units between August 1 and October 1 have been shown from 1012 to 666. In this, a bill of Rs 2931 has been sent by showing consumption unit 660. In the meter of the consumer till Sunday night, 23 October 2021, the unit was 719, while the unit 1012 has been marked in the bill by the electricity department. Now the question arises that at present the meter unit is 719, then how did the readings between April 2021 and June 2021 become 940 and 1012. Questions are being raised here on the working of meter reader.
The consumer has demanded the officials of the Electricity Department and the Power Minister to get his two-time inflated bill checked and refund the excess amount deposited. It has also been said that when the consumer has to pay a fine for not paying the bill, then action should be taken against the officers and employees for this negligence. State Power Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala has said that if there is any discrepancy in the electricity bills, then action will be taken against the officials concerned.
Unit and bill amount since meter installation
– Between 24 July 2020 to 1 October 2020, the bill of 80 units is Rs 964
Between 1 October 2020 to 1 December 2020, the bill for 39 units is Rs 872.
Between 1 December 2020 to 1 February 2021, the bill for 89 units is Rs 921.
Between February 1, 2021 and April 1, 2021, the bill for 72 units is Rs 914.
Between April 1, 2021 and June 1, 2021, the bill for 659 units is Rs 2897.
Between June 1, 2021 and August 1, 2021, the bill for 72 units is Rs 950.
Between August 1, 2021 and October 1, 2021, the bill for 660 units is Rs 2931.

There could be a technical fault. There are many techniques, due to which many times the reading is not read properly. If the bill has come in excess and the readings are less then it will be investigated.
