The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had claimed that the question paper was leaked ahead of Sunday’s examination.
Addressing a press conference in Gandhinagar on Wednesday on the issue, GSSSB chairman Asit Vora said that the board has not yet found any credible evidence to prove that the question paper was leaked before the exam.
Vora said that the written examination for the recruitment of 186 head clerks was conducted on Sunday at various centers in Gujarat in which about 88,000 candidates appeared.
AAP’s Gujarat unit youth wing office-bearer Yuvraj Singh Jadeja on Monday claimed that the question paper was leaked ahead of the examination in Sabarkantha district.
As a proof, he had shared a picture of a page from the notebook, in which the answers to some questions asked in the examination were written by hand.
According to Vora, the picture was snapped and circulated on WhatsApp after the examination was over.
Vora said that if the board gets any concrete evidence, then an FIR will be lodged.
Before speaking to reporters, Vora held a meeting at the secretariat with Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi and top police officials on the issue and provided necessary details to help the police investigate the matter.
“So far, we have not received a single complaint regarding the question paper leak. We spoke to many candidates and all of them told us that they have no problem. Nevertheless, taking cognizance of media reports, we have urged the police to investigate. I have been told that 15 teams have been deployed by the police for investigation.”
