- No need for alliance with NCP and Shiv Sena
- Congress high command decides on alliance
- Sanjay Raut accused Congress of not joining the alliance
Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole has responded to Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s allegations. He said that the decision on alliance is not made by us but by the Congress high command. To prevent BJP from coming to power in Maharashtra, Sonia Gandhi had stamped the alliance with Shiv Sena-NCP. However, in other states the position of Congress is better. In such a situation, there is no need to forge an alliance with Shiv Sena and NCP. It’s not a matter of coercion. Our party is different, theirs is different.
Sanjay Raut took a jibe at Congress
Shiv Sena MP and senior leader Sanjay Raut has taunted the Congress. He has said that NCP and Shiv Sena were trying to establish Mahavikas Aghadi like Maharashtra along with Congress in Goa also. However, the Congress showed no interest in this. Perhaps the Congress feels that it will form the government on its own in Goa. For this reason, Congress has given the slogan of Ekla Chalo in Goa. Raut said that all our efforts to replicate the Mahavikas Aghadi pattern in Goa have failed.
Talks started with Shiv Sena
Sanjay Raut said that even though we may not have an alliance with Congress in Goa, but our talks with Shiv Sena are on. A decision on the Shiv Sena-NCP alliance is also expected on Wednesday. Let us tell you that an important meeting is to be held in Goa between NCP leader Praful Patel and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. The alliance and its formula can be stamped in this meeting.
Raut said that we are not contesting too many seats in Goa, we know our dignity. He said that there is a fight between Congress and BJP in Goa. Trinamool Congress is contesting 40 seats in Goa. However, he has not been able to give the chief ministerial face.
Alliance with Congress in Manipur
Praful Patel told that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has an alliance with the Congress in Manipur. At the same time, in the first phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh, NCP will field its candidate on one seat. Rest of the seats will be informed later. Patel has said these things during the election campaign of Gondia Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti. He said that preparations have been started to contest the elections alone in Goa. The assembly elections in Manipur are to be held in two phases. This NCP will get five seats.
