Work on the highway will run for 90 days
Traffic officials say that the traffic diversion will be trialled here on Tuesday morning and if some improvement is felt, it will be assessed and after making necessary improvements, both the carriageways of the highway will be opened from today or tomorrow. But work will be started simultaneously. Work on the highway will continue for about 90 days. That is, this diversion will remain in force for the next three months. In such a situation, the problems of those people who commute daily to their offices in Gurgaon or Delhi by office cabs or private vehicles may increase. Apart from this, people going to and from the airport will also have to take extra time.

In the advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, it has been told that for the construction work, both carriage ways of NH-48 between Rangpuri and Rajokri will be closed for traffic movement. During this, vehicles will be diverted from the main highway to the slip road near Shiv Murti. Although, to reduce the problems of the people, new slip roads with 4-4 lanes have been made on both sides of the highway, but due to the closure of the main road and about 400-500 meters of traffic passing through the slip road. Congestion is likely to increase.
Use these alternative routes
To avoid jam, the traffic police has advised people to use the metro and take alternative routes. Commuters commuting to Gurugram/Jaipur have been advised to take the Mehrauli-Gurugram road instead of NH-48. Commuters coming to and from Gurugram flyover to Dwarka, Kapashera, Najafgarh have been advised to go via Palam Road. People going towards Dhaula Kuan and Vasant Vihar from Gurugram, Kapashera, Dwarka have also been asked to take road number 201 ahead of Dwarka flyover.
