New Delhi (HS). At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will visit India from 9-11 September. During this time he will participate in the G-20 Summit held in India on 9-10 September and will continue his stay in India for a state visit on 11 September.
Earlier, the Saudi Prince had come to India on a state visit in February 2019 and this will be his second state visit to India. He will also be accompanied by a high-level delegation including ministers and senior officials. The visit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful visit to Saudi Arabia in October 2019, during which the two countries established the Strategic Partnership Council.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the Saudi Prince will also meet the President on September 11. He will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister and the two leaders will also co-chair the Strategic Partnership Council meeting. They will review the progress made under the two ministerial committees of the Strategic Partnership Council, namely the Committee on Political, Security, Social and Cultural Cooperation and the Committee on Economic and Investment Cooperation. Along with this, all aspects of bilateral relations including political, security, defence, trade and economic, cultural departments and relations of prominent individuals will be discussed. The two leaders will also discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.
