In the same order, the Department of Food Safety and Drug Administration carried out raids on dozens of sweet shops and godowns in Vrindavan late on Thursday night by running a campaign against such adulterated khors. On this occasion, 5 samples of adulterated Peda and other sweets were collected by the team of Food Department. Along with this, about 700 kg contaminated adulterated peda and milk cake were destroyed on the spot. The same Dr. Gauri Shankar, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Administration told that the material for making Peda is sung from Dhaulpur in Rajasthan to Vrindavan and Govardhan areas. After which the sweet sellers sell it in the form of peda. All the vendors have been instructed that if they sell adulterated and contaminated sweets and pedas, their licenses will be cancelled. Along with this, strict action will be taken against them. Seeing the action, many shopkeepers downed their shutters. All the collected samples have been sent to the laboratory for examination.
