The names of the five jawans who lost their lives are Vaisakh H, Jaswinder Singh, Gajjan Singh, Saraj Singh and Mandeep Singh Bahadur. The entire nation is in awe of the martyrdom of these soldiers. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Chinni has given an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the families of Naib Subedar Jaswinder Singh, Mandeep Singh and Sepoy Gajan Singh, who are presently grieving. Marty Jawan Naik Subedar Jaswinder Singh whose father’s name was Harbhajan Singh was a resident of village Manan Talwadi in Punjab. His father had already died, he had retired from the army as a captain. Jaswinder Singh has two brothers, his elder brother Rajinder Singh has also served in the army. Jaswinder Singh’s two children and his wife, whose name is Sukhpreet Kaur, also live in the house. The mortal remains of the martyr are being sent to Manan Talwadi, where he will be cremated with full respect in front of his family.
Son will never be able to meet father
Martyr Jawan Mandeep Singh whose age was only 30 years. He was a resident of village Chatta in Gurdaspur, Punjab. He is survived by his old mother Manjeet Kaur, wife Mandeep Kaur and two young children. One of his sons who is 4 years old and the other is just 39 days old, now he will never be able to see his father. Mandeep Singh’s birthday was on 16th of this month, Mandeep’s cousin and villagers said that we are proud of Mandeep Singh who sacrificed his life for the country. He has two brothers, the first brother Jagat Singh is in the army and the second brother works in Doha-Qatar. Mandeep Singh’s mother said that my son has left this world but I am proud of his martyrdom.

Shaheed Gajjan Singh gave a befitting reply to the terrorists
Gajjan Singh, who sacrificed while protecting the country, was engaged in protecting the country even in his last days. He was handling the front of the encounter to kill the terrorists. Gajjan Singh, a resident of Pacharanda village in Rupnagar district, had got married just four months back. He is survived by his wife Harpreet Kaur.
The martyrdom of Saraj Singh made the country inconsolable
Saraj Singh who was a resident of Akhtaryarpur Runnel in Shahjahapur district of Uttar Pradesh. After his martyrdom, there is a gloomy atmosphere in his entire village.
