When the family members of the teenager went to the other side to complain about it, they got furious. They beat up the family of the teenager. On receiving the news of the beating, people from the side of the family members of the teenager reached the settlement. After this a fight started between the two sides. Seeing the fight that started with a scuffle, it turned into stone pelting after sticks. People from both sides started throwing stones at each other. This caused a cry in the settlement. On getting information about the incident, the police of half a dozen police stations of the sub-division area reached the spot. During this, MP representative Ramashankar Tiwari and Kharkhari Panchayat head Kundan Rajak have also suffered injuries while trying to extinguish both the sides.
Police chased the miscreants using mild force
Seeing the deteriorating environment, the police took the front and worked to disperse the miscreants by using mild force. During this also miscreants pelted stones on the police. Till the writing of the news, besides the magistrate, Rural SP Risma Ramesan, Baghmara SDPO Nisha Murmu, along with a large number of police forces are camping at the spot.
A youth in custody, police will investigate and take further action: SP
On the other hand, CO Baghmara KK Singh and Rural SP have denied the incident of firing in the violent clash. The rural SP said the situation had calmed down after a meeting with people from both the communities. A youth has been taken into custody. Police will investigate and take action.
