There is a possibility of increasing the cases of Coronavirus again. At the same time, the case of the new variant Omicron Variant has also come to the fore in the district. Preparations are being made to deal with the infection in BK Civil Hospital, but the hospital is lagging behind in terms of manpower. Staff has not yet been appointed for the temporary hospital set up for the corona infected. Health officials are constantly corresponding with the demand of the staff. In such a situation, if the cases of corona infection increase, then the problem of doctors and staff may have to be faced.
A 102-bed temporary hospital has been built in the BK Civil Hospital premises to deal with corona infection. In this, arrangements have been made for Oxygen Plant and Ventilator. The attention of the state government has not yet gone to the appointment of staff for the temporary hospital. 10 General Medicine doctors, Chest and TB pathologists, Anesthetists and Pediatricians, 20 General Duty Medical Officers, 40 Nursing Staff, Four Pharmacy Officers, ECG Technical and Radiographer, 16 on behalf of the PMO for the temporary hospital. A demand has been made for 16 EMD and technical officers, two physiotherapists, six each DEO and gas plant operator, one dietician and electrician, plumber, site supervisor, five security personnel and 36-36 DGA and housekeeping.
We have demanded staff from higher officials. Hopefully we get the staff before the infection escalates. We have completed all other preparations to deal with the infection.

If sources are to be believed, the government is in no mood to provide staff for the temporary hospital. The government has categorically refused to give staff citing policies. On the other hand, there is a shortage of staff in BK Civil Hospital as well. After Dr. Vinay Gupta became CMO, now there is no MD medicine doctor here. There is a requirement of five senior medical officers, out of which only 2 are working. At the same time, 55 medical officers are required, but only 46 are on the job.
