Not only Kishanganj, but other districts also have Friday’s closure: Education Officer
Where did the order to close the school on Friday instead of Sunday come from? When did this tradition start? There is no information about this with the District Education Officer of Kishanganj. He only told NBT that this tradition is going on since before he was posted here. When NBT tried to get to the bottom of this news and started looking for the data, the information came to the fore. According to the data, 19 not 37 government schools in the district are closed on Friday instead of Sunday. But no one has any government order, notification or document to close the schools.
These madrasas and muslim schools are not normal schools sir
When NBT.com further investigated these reports, it was learned that the schools that closed for offering Namaz on Friday were not of any madrassas or clerics. These schools are government and run with government money. Another shocking fact has emerged in the figures. When NBT spoke to the District Education Officer of Kishanganj, he also revealed that the schools to be closed on Friday are not madrasas or Muslim schools, they are normal government schools. Urdu is also taught in these schools. In which the children studying are not only from the Muslim community. Children of other religions also study in these schools.
99 percent of the schools are closed on Friday
The way the rules and regulations of educational institutions are being changed according to the population, the systems are being changed, the day is not far when changes can be seen in the constitution as well. This is to say of the victim, who has suffered the brunt of not having those religious beliefs in this Kishanganj. Actually, an Urdu school in Kishanganj, in which Urdu is taught only as a subject. It has been declared a Muslim school. After the posting of a principal in this school, there was a lot of uproar over his joining. Local people, local MLAs and all the leaders including the mayor had come down in protest against joining the school as principal. He said that Hindu principal should not be reinstated in Urdu school. But this school was a government school.
How are schools being closed on the basis of traditions?
NBT tried to talk to all the authorities about the incident of closure of schools on Friday instead of Sunday. In which all the District Magistrates, District Education Officers and DPOs told the tradition of closing the schools in Kishanganj on Friday. The big question arises that since when did this tradition start without government order? There is no official document of this also with the administrative officials.
Where is the order to close the schools on Friday?
District Education Officer says that this tradition is going on for years. Which has not been changed yet. In a conversation with NBT, he said that he is looking for these documents. He told NBT that now that this matter has come to the fore, it will be known when the order to close the schools was given earlier. But he definitely said that he does not have any official document to close these schools on Friday.
