The intensity of this earthquake in India has been measured at 5.6 on the Richter scale. Apart from this, strong earthquake tremors have also been felt in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Apart from Delhi, it has also been felt in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. With Nepal as the centre, the earth has shaken for the second time in four days.
The first tremor of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale occurred at 4:31 pm local time in Nepal. The second tremor was measured at 4.5 on the Richter scale at 4.40 pm. There are reports of collapse of many houses due to these earthquake tremors. There is once again an atmosphere of panic among the people due to the earthquake on Monday evening with Ramidanda of Jajarkot as the focal point. People had not even recovered from the death of more than 150 people and the destruction of thousands of houses in the powerful earthquake that occurred two days ago, when today’s earthquake has damaged some more houses.
Earlier, 12 people had died in Raut village of Bheri municipality due to the earthquake that occurred on Friday night. Local public representative Veer Bahadur Oli has given information about three houses being damaged by today’s earthquake in the same village. He said that some injured people in the same village have also been taken to the hospital. According to Oli, there is news of some houses being demolished in Bharawan and Gari areas around Rautgaon. He said that at the time of the earthquake, the entire area was filled with dust and smoke after the houses collapsed with a loud noise. Local Balbir Khatri said that today people saw in front of their eyes the sight of those houses which had only cracks in their walls due to the last earthquake, being completely damaged.
Karnali State Police spokesperson said that due to today’s earthquake, landslides have also occurred at some places. Due to blockage of Ramni-Khalanga road in Karnali state, many vehicles deployed for relief and relief are stuck on the way. Efforts are being made by the police to open the way.
