E-charts are being installed by West Central Railway at 16 railway stations including Bhopal to inform the passengers about the ticket booking status. This is also saving the railways lakhs of rupees. Every month the cost of printing the chart and on paper is being saved. LED screens have been installed for these charts. These e-charts do not explode and are not deteriorating. Passengers are easily looking for their berths by observing them. Earlier a hard copy of the chart was used, which sometimes got torn or the middle pages were removed, causing trouble to the passengers. Now there is no such hassle in e-chart. Railways have also benefited by saving the cost of printing charts and paper every month. Apart from the zone, the railway is saving in this way at all stations. It is known that six LED screens have been installed on platform one and platform six in Bhopal. The redeveloped Habibganj Railway Station also has six big screens where the Reverberation Chart is sleeping.
There are five screens at Bina station and two at Guna. Reservation charts are being printed and pasted at other stations including Itarsi Junction, Harda, Hoshangabad, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Vidisha. LED screen will be installed here soon. Passengers are not facing any problem in finding berths. Charts are being shown on LEDs everywhere. Earlier, they used to put a printed chart in one place, in front of which there was a crowd. Especially at the time of arrival of the train, there used to be fighting. The consumption of paper has come down, the cost of printing the chart has also come down. Railways are saving. The e-reservation chart starts appearing on time. The printed charts were many times delayed by railway workers in putting them up. Passengers had to suffer. Now such a situation is not happening.
