Bijnor: A meeting was held in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ankit Kumar Aggarwal regarding completely curbing illegal mining and transportation in the district. Regarding completely curbing illegal mining and transportation in the district, the District Magistrate instructed all the Deputy District Magistrates to monitor the possible routes passing through them to establish proper control over the vehicles transporting illegal mining at inter-state or inter-district level. Do the checking and ensure that duty is imposed accordingly by making a round the clock roster and also maintain a register of the vehicles traveling there. He directed that if illegal mining transport is found during checking, challan should be taken against the vehicles and appropriate action should be taken against them. He also gave instructions to take appropriate strict action against vehicles carrying out illegal mining by installing wrong number plates. He said that mining at night is completely banned, ensure that strict action is taken against any vehicle found doing mining at night. He also directed the concerned officials to take strict action against the vehicles and crushers involved in illegal mining and transportation. He said that to curb illegal mining, officials should conduct surprise inspections and raids and strict action should also be taken against vehicles without number plates and illegal number plates. After this, a meeting related to revenue works was organized by the District Magistrate. In the meeting, a thorough review of the revenue works was done and necessary guidelines were given to the officers present. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Prof. Vinay Kumar Singh, V/R Arvind Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police City Dr. Praveen Ranjan, all the Deputy District Magistrates, CO Police and officials of other related departments were present.
