#ShubhDhanteras: This festival of Dhanteras can be seen all over the country, in this festival coming 2 days before Diwali, people especially worship Goddess Lakshmi and seek her blessings for a happy life and wealth. The five-day festival of Diwali begins from the day of Dhanteras and it is believed that Lord Dhanvantari, the father of Ayurvedic scriptures and the god of health, appeared on the day of Dhanteras. On this day, along with Mata Lakshmi, the god of wealth Kuber and Lord Dhanvantari are also worshipped and along with this, buying gold and silver jewellery, vehicles and investing in any property or plot etc. is considered very auspicious on this day. Today people buy almost everything from gold and silver.
*Don’t buy these things on Dhanteras*
Do not buy iron, people usually buy utensils on the day of Dhanteras, but while doing so, always keep in mind that the utensils should not be made of iron. Buying steel utensils on this day is also not considered auspicious because it is also a type of iron, so instead of steel, copper or brass utensils should be bought.
Do not buy a car Often people buy a car on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, but the price should be paid a day before bringing the car home.
Do not buy glass crockery Glass is not considered auspicious and glass crockery should not be bought and brought home on the day of Dhanteras. Refrain from doing so.
Do not bring black things home, on this day no black thing should be bought or brought home. It is advised to stay away from black things on this day.
Do not buy oil Buying oil on the occasion of Dhanteras is also considered inauspicious. It is said that on this day at least oil should be used in the kitchen.
Do not take empty utensils home It is believed that on the day of Dhanteras, empty utensils should not be bought and brought home, so before taking them inside the house, fill water inside the vessel.
