    Demand to increase the support price of wheat to three thousand in MP, know which districts are damaged due to rain and hailstorm

    Bhopal: The rain and hailstorm that occurred on Monday night in Madhya Pradesh has damaged crops in many areas. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said to conduct a survey of damage to crops, while Congress has also demanded relief to farmers and increase in support price. Apart from state capital Bhopal, districts like Mandsaur, Ratlam, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Sehore received rain and hailstorm on Monday night with strong winds, causing damage to crops. The crops of gram and wheat standing in the fields have been affected, while the possibility of rain and hailstorm is being expressed in the coming days as well.

    Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that information about hailstorm has been received in some parts of the state.

    Demand to increase the support price of wheat
    On the other hand, Congress MLA and former minister Jitu Patwari has said that there has been rain and hailstorm in western Madhya Pradesh with strong winds, due to which 80 percent farmers’ wheat and gram crops have been damaged. This is the situation in the entire state, potato farmers are also facing problems. Farmers’ potatoes are being sold at Rs.3 to Rs.4 per kg, whereas they had planted only seeds at Rs.7-8 per kg. The government should talk to the farmers and fix the support price of wheat at Rs 3,000 a quintal.
