On the other hand, Congress MLA and former minister Jitu Patwari has said that there has been rain and hailstorm in western Madhya Pradesh with strong winds, due to which 80 percent farmers’ wheat and gram crops have been damaged. This is the situation in the entire state, potato farmers are also facing problems. Farmers’ potatoes are being sold at Rs.3 to Rs.4 per kg, whereas they had planted only seeds at Rs.7-8 per kg. The government should talk to the farmers and fix the support price of wheat at Rs 3,000 a quintal.
