The theft took place in Jagdishpur police station of Agra, on Saturday night, vicious thieves broke into the house and opened the back door of the mall and knocked on the police station. After this, 25 lakh rupees and gold kept in a box were stolen. After this, the matter came to light after the thief was caught in another theft incident.
There was a mess in the warehouse
When the Malkhana in-charge saw the condition of the Malkhana on Sunday morning, things were scattered there. The lock of the box was broken, the locks were also broken, the gold kept inside the box had been stolen. When the police department came to know about this incident, there was a stir. The incident of theft in the police station surprised everyone.
SHO and 6 policemen suspended
As soon as the matter came to the notice of the police, action was taken on the policemen immediately and 6 policemen including station in-charge Anoop Kumar Tiwari, who were dereliction of duty, were suspended. The information about the suspension was given by the ADG of Agra Zone, Rajiv Krishna himself. The names of the policemen on whom action was taken are SI Ramniwas, constable Jitendra Singh, Sukhvir Singh, female constable Sajda and head Moharrir Pratap Bhan Singh.
Arun Valmiki was taken into custody
Immediately after the incident of theft, the police came into action and after registering a case, the search for the thieves was started. The police took several people into custody and started questioning. In this case, the Jagdishpura police station also took the sweeper Arun Valmiki into custody on the basis of suspicion. After this, Arun Valmiki was brutally thrashed, due to which his condition worsened.

Arun Valmiki fell seriously ill after being beaten up in custody. According to Agra SSP Muniraj, “Arun Valmiki suddenly fell ill. The police immediately took him to the hospital, but the doctors there declared him brought dead. Arun Valmiki used to do cleaning work in Jagdishpura police station and its warehouse. That is why on the basis of suspicion, the police had taken him into custody on Saturday night only on the charge of theft in the Malkhana.

Surrounded by all-out attack by the opposition, the state government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh. Ruling party leader Arun reached Valmiki’s house and handed him a check of Rs 10 lakh and announced a government job. On the other hand, the victim’s family says that they have been asked to remain calm by giving 10 lakhs. On the other hand, on the instructions of Akhilesh Yadav, SP’s MLC Dilip Yadav and many big party leaders met the victim’s family and demanded 50 lakh compensation.
