Covaccine was 77.8 percent effective in combating corona virus

Revealed in a study published in a renowned medical journal

New Delhi (EMS). Indigenous vaccine Covaccine has been 77.8 percent effective against corona virus. This has been claimed in a study published in a reputed medical journal. In the war against the corona virus, only the covaccine is being used after the Covishield of the Serum Institute of India. The vaccine has been developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the National Institute of Virology (NIV) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Covaccine using inactivated virus technology initiates a strong antibody process two weeks after two doses are given.

The medical journal states that no serious cases of vaccine-related deaths were reported during the trial. In this trial, which ran from November 2020 to May 2021 in India, 24 thousand 419 participants in the age group of 18-97 participated.

The internal study was funded by Bharat Biotech and ICMR. Along with this, officials of both the institutions were also involved to some extent. It is being said that these figures can be helpful in dealing with the controversy over getting early approval in India. Covaccine was approved in India in January. During that time the final round of vaccine trials were yet to be completed. Since then, crores of doses of Covaccine have been administered to the people. At the same time, the World Health Organization has included the vaccine in the list for emergency use last week. The medical journal wrote that further studies are needed to find out the long-term effect, effect and protection against disease of the vaccine.

The WHO’s approval of Covaccine earlier this month will make international travel easier for Indians who have taken a dose of the vaccine, and India is also in talks with countries to recognize anti-coronavirus vaccines manufactured by Bharat Biotech. Separate orders are issued for The Ministry of External Affairs gave this information on Thursday. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that 96 countries have either approved vaccines approved by WHO or some countries have approved only Kovishield or Covaccine.

WHO has recognized both the Covishield and Covaccine vaccines. He said that we hope that the WHO approval of Covaccine will expand this list and all 96 or more countries will accept both vaccines. I think it (approval) will go a long way in making it easier for Indians to travel abroad who have had a dose of the vaccine.
