The number of new variants of corona virus Omicron in the country has crossed 400. So far, a total of 415 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country. The reach of this virus has reached 17 states. Delhi, Maharashtra and Gujarat are most at risk of this new crisis. In view of this, from December 25 till the new year, the governments have started taking strict action. States have imposed various restrictions.
After Madhya Pradesh, now night curfew has been implemented in Uttar Pradesh too. Apart from this, many restrictions have also been implemented in Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat. On Friday, 20 new cases of Omicron variant have been reported in Maharashtra. With this, the number of infected with Omicron has reached 108 in the state.
Omicron has thrown color in the midst of the celebrations. In view of the magnitude of the infection, night curfew has been imposed in other states including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Karnataka. According to the report of the Ministry of Health, 7,189 new corona infected patients have been found in the last 24 hours. So far 140.01 crore doses have been administered. Let us tell you that the recovery rate of corona infected patients is 98.40 percent. Which is the highest since March 2020 last year.

The central government will deploy teams in these states for 3 to 5 days and work closely with the state health officials. In these states, teams will be sent to Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Mizoram, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Punjab. Due to the highest number of corona cases being registered in these states, it has been decided to send this team. These teams will keep an eye on contact tracing, monitoring of victims of Omicron variant, containment operations.
