New Delhi, (Talk) Congress today announced the names of a total of 61 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections.
Giving this information, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that this list of names of candidates has been released in the Central Election Committee of the party. He said that the Central Election Committee of the party has today released the fourth and fifth list of candidates for Rajasthan. In this way, the party has so far declared a total of 156 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections. Most of the sitting MLAs have been given place in the fourth list. Former MP Badri Ram Jakhar has been fielded from Bali seat while Congress national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh has been given ticket from Udaipur. Former Assembly Speaker and MLA Deependra Singh Shekhawat has been given another chance from Shrimadhopur, former Union Minister and MLA Mahadev Singh Khandela from Khandela Assembly constituency. The party has expressed confidence in Vikas Chaudhary, who joined Congress after being denied ticket from BJP, by giving him ticket from Kishangarh.
Congress General Secretary said that the party has announced a total of 156 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly. In the last three lists, the party has fielded its candidates on 95 seats.
Voting for the 200-member Potato Assembly of Rajasthan is to be held on November 25 and the counting of votes will be done on December 3.
