Raipur (EMS). The Enforcement Directorate has made a big claim on the Mahadev Betting App case. ED claimed that Rs 508 crore has been given to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. According to the report, the Enforcement Directorate said that on November 2, the ED received intelligence that a large amount of cash was being transported to Chhattisgarh by the promoters of Mahadev APP in connection with the assembly elections to be held on November 7 and 17, 2023. ED searched here. Further said that a cash courier Aseem Das was successfully intercepted at Hotel Triton in Bhilai and at another location. Which was sent from UAE specifically to deliver large amount of cash for the election expenses of the ruling Congress Party. ED has recovered cash amounting to Rs 5.39 crore from him. Also the car and his residence were raided. Asim Das has admitted that the seized funds were arranged by Mahadev APP promoters to be given to a politician for the upcoming election expenses in the state of Chhattisgarh.
According to the press conference of the Enforcement Directorate, the ED had received the information. After that a search operation was started in Chhattisgarh. In which Rs 5.39 crore cash was seized in the election state. ED is investigating Mahadev Book online betting app syndicate. In which the promoters of this betting syndicate are sitting abroad. Yesterday, ED has already arrested 4 accused and seized crime proceeds of more than Rs 450 crore. Prosecution complaint has been filed against 14 accused persons. ED claimed that Aseem Das has made many revelations during interrogation. Mahadev app promoter has given Rs 508 crore to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. At present the matter is being investigated.
Agencies are being misused. Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo said that agencies are being misused. Raids keep happening during elections. Action should be taken against Raman Singh. The Deputy Chief Minister has called it a selective action.
