District Child Protection Officer Deepak Dadsena said that the District Child Development Department had received a complaint about the closure of a girl child in teacher Asha Aggarwal’s house. The department team that reached Agarwal’s house found the girl locked in the bathroom of the house.
The girl is a resident of Surajpur district
The team has taken the girl under its protection. Dadsena said, “Preliminary investigation has revealed that the girl is from Vishrampur town of Surajpur district. Asha Aggarwal’s husband is a transporter and he allegedly brought the girl from Vishrampur.
Police is collecting information about the girl
The official said that information is being collected regarding the parents of the girl child. Dadsena said that the girl was living with the Aggarwal family for the last two years. The girl says that “I was often beaten up.” The officer said that the girl is scared and efforts are being made to pacify her. He will be produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). “We are preparing our report and will recommend strict punishment against the couple for keeping the child illegally,” he said.
