Both of them were pilots in the Air Force. Prithvi Singh Chauhan was flying the air charter mi-17V5 and Kuldeep Singh Rao was the pilot.

The family of martyr Kuldeep Singh Rao lives in a villa located on Kalwar Road, Jaipur.

Wing Commander Prithvi Singh Chauhan was a resident of Saran Nagar in Dayalbagh. He was the only son of his father Surendra Singh.
