    Bihar Weather Today: The weather is continuously taking ‘turn’ in Bihar, thunder and rain in many districts of North Bihar including Seemanchal, know updates

    Patna: According to the Patna Meteorological Center, according to the forecast in the last 24 hours, the weather of the state remained dry and the sky was partly cloudy. The highest maximum temperature of the state was 35.2 degree Celsius in Bhagalpur. The minimum temperature was 16.0 degree Celsius in Gaya. According to the weather analysis, the Western Disturbance is formed in the middle of the atmosphere up to 5.8 km from the sea level in the troposphere. Also, the low pressure area is extending from the sub-Himalayan regions of West Bengal up to Jharkhand via South Odisha. Under its influence, there may be moderate rain with lightning and thunder at one or two places in Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj districts besides West and East Champaran of the state during the next 24 hours. After that, on the next day i.e. March 17, there is a forecast of moderate rain at some places in the South East and North East parts and at one or two places in the remaining parts of the state. Also, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning accompanied by hailstorm at one or two places in the southeast parts of the state. There is a possibility of thunder and light rain at one or two places in the north-east and south-central parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature of the state during the next 48 hours. Thereafter, a drop of three to five degree Celsius in the maximum temperature is likely to be observed during the next three days.

    Drizzle and rain alert till March 18

    According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, the weather will be dry on March 16 in North West Bihar like West Champaran, Siwan, East Champaran, Gopalganj. There is a possibility of rain at one or two places on March 17 and 18. North Central Bihar, which includes Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Sheohar and Samastipur. It is forecast to rain at one or two places in this sector from March 16 to 18. There is a possibility of rain in the districts of Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia and Katihar on 16 and 17 March and rain in all the districts on 18 March. Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabhua, Aurangabad and Arwal in southwest Bihar will also receive rain on March 17 and 18. There is a possibility of rain in Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai and Jehanabad of South Central Bihar from March 16 to March 18.

    It will be cloudy throughout the day in Patna on Thursday, March 16, with few clouds in the evening. There is also a high chance of drizzle around 4 in the afternoon. Talking about the minimum temperature of other districts, Patna recorded 19.6 degree Celsius, Bhagalpur 20.8 degree Celsius, Purnia 18.8 degree Celsius, West Champaran (Valmiki Nagar) 19.0 degree Celsius, Muzaffarpur 20.1 degree Celsius. Jamui recorded a minimum temperature of 17.2 degree Celsius. Statistics are showing that the maximum temperature will drop by five degrees in the next three days. The minimum temperature on Thursday ranged between 16 degree Celsius to 20 degree Celsius. Bhagalpur district recorded the highest minimum temperature of 20.8 degree Celsius on Thursday.

    The figures released by the Meteorological Department on Tuesday late evening were as follows. The maximum temperature ranged between 32 degree Celsius to 35 degree Celsius. Supaul recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degree Celsius. Khagaria recorded a maximum temperature of 35.7 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature of capital Patna was recorded at 35.0 degree Celsius. On the other hand, maximum temperature of Gaya was recorded at 34.6, Bhagalpur, 35.5 Purnia, 33.7 degree Celsius in other cities.

    Doctors warn about H3N2 virus and changing weather

    In view of the frequent changes and fluctuations in the weather, doctors have advised people to be careful. Cases of fever, cough, cold, diarrhea and runny nose are on the rise in almost all areas of the city. Many have attributed these cases to H3N2 influenza. Health experts have advised people not to panic. Dr. Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, National Officer of the Indian Medical Association, has alerted the people. He said that H3N2 is not a deadly disease. People should continue to take precautions. Such cases will start reducing by the end of March. Only one H3N2 case has been confirmed in Bihar. He said that the State Government should be alert as the State may also have to deal with encephalitis in the coming days apart from sporadic cases of H3N2 and COVID-19. Dr. Neeraj Bharti, Consultant (Internal Medicine) at Jaya Prabha Medanta Hospital, said that around 10 to 20% of the patients who visit the hospital’s OPD daily are suffering from flu-like symptoms. Every other household in the neighborhood has a case of the flu. People with a prolonged cough lasting 10 to 20 days may have H3N2. He said, influenza is seasonal and it lasts from December to February. Which is a favorable season for the virus. He added that with the onset of summer there would be a decline in the cases.
