The applications seeking GI tag for Khurma, Tilkut and Balushahi, popular dishes of Bihar, have been accepted by the competent authorities after preliminary scrutiny. The demand for GI tag has also been approved for the famous chinaya (a variety of banana) of Hajipur, the famous Bawan Booti saree of Nalanda and the Pattharkatti stone art of Gaya. The GI tag is given to link the origin of a product primarily to its region of origin. The middle-aged man who came out on bail was shot dead
In Bhojpur district, an accused who came out on bail was shot dead. The deceased 46-year-old Ghanshyam Yadav was the son of Aklu Yadav, a resident of Saraiya Tola of Krishnagarh police station. A bullet wound has been found near the head. After the incident, the police took quick action and arrested the four accused. Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar told that Ghanshyam Yadav had come out of jail on bail 15 days back. A mutual fight was going on between the village manager Yadav and his boys. In the initial investigation, it is coming that in the year 2021-22, two people of the same family were killed. Both were uncle-nephew in the relationship. The police had arrested Ghanshyam Yadav, the accused in this double murder case, and sent him to jail.
