There has been a major administrative reshuffle in Bihar. Bihar government has transferred many big officers. According to the information, 1987 batch IAS officer Amir Subhani will be the new Chief Secretary of the state, he will replace Tripurari Sharan. His term ends on Friday. Atul Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare Department, has been given the responsibility of Development Commissioner. A total of 27 IAS officers, including heads of three departments and DMs of Nalanda, Gaya, Darbhanga, Supaul and Saharsa, have been transferred. Apart from this, 23 IPS officers have also been transferred and 3 have got additional charge.
According to the order issued by the government, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Chaitanya Prasad has been given additional charge of monitoring department. Chanchal Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, has also been given the charge of Director General, Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development. The new Chief Secretary Amir Subhani is currently looking after its charge.
At the same time, Secretary, Building Construction Department, Kumar Ravi has been entrusted with the responsibility of commissioner of Patna Division. Rajeev Roshan in Darbhanga, Thyagarajan SM in Gaya, Kaushal Kumar in Supaul, Yogendra Singh in Samastipur, Shashank Shubhankar in Anand Sharma Nalanda have been posted as new District Magistrates. Similarly, new secretaries have been made in four departments. In the Social Welfare Department, Sandeep Pondrick, Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department, Sanjay Agarwal, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Daya Nidhan Pandey and Labor Development Secretary Sandeep R Pudalakutty.
The state government has made a massive transfer of officers of the Indian Police Service. Senior Superintendent of Police of three districts and Superintendent of Police of 11 districts have been changed in the state.
