Police officials said on Wednesday that five laborers who were sleeping on top of a brick kiln in Garhfuljhar village of Mahasumand district died due to suffocation. He said that the police have received information that on Tuesday night six laborers had slept on a platform made for baking mud bricks. The structure was on fire. According to officials, when other laborers woke them up on Wednesday morning, they did not wake up. Later the laborers informed other villagers and the police about this.

Officials said that after getting the information, the police team reached the spot and sent the dead bodies of the five dead laborers and the sick laborer to the hospital. According to officials, the police suspect that the laborers died due to suffocation. He said that investigation has been started in the matter.
